Our multidisciplinary approach to healthcare incorporates the expertise of a breadth of specialists to provide the very best care for our patients. Educational Initiatives

The founders of Imagine Health Centres are health professionals educated in Alberta who hold strong beliefs that quality educational institutions are a pillar of our healthcare community and breeding grounds for our next generation of esteemed healthcare professionals. Imagine Health seeks to provide enriching health education environments and live “hands on” learning avenues to future health leaders seeking quality learning opportunities. Our unique model offers unparalleled learning opportunities to students, interns and even established healthcare professionals.

Our multidisciplinary clinics are an academic resource that acts as a training site to allow students, medical residents, physicians and other healthcare professionals in various fields to come train, gain experience and further their expertise and skill set in front line patient care.

Our Locations

Bow Valley College, Downtown Calgary

Downtown Macleod Trail was just opened in April 2015. It is located in downtown Calgary on MacLeod Trail, nestled on the Bow Valley College Campus. This centre is close to bus stops and has designated paid hourly parking available. Our downtown clinic offers a full complement of multidisciplinary services for our patient: a diverse team of family physicians, specialists, physiotherapist, pharmacist, cosmetic services, Occupational Injury Services (OIS) and other allied health professionals dedicated to a collaborative approach to your healthcare requirements. Physicians at this centre are accepting new patients; have same day appointments available and welcome both scheduled and walk-in patients.

In partnership with Bow Valley College, this location was created as a state-of-the-art learning health centre and is a culmination of a strategic master plan between two progressive organizations. We were made aware of this partnership opportunity through a competitive public tender and were elated to have been chosen first amongst dozens of experienced and established medical groups from across Canada. We are proud to see that our vision, business acumen and proven primary care model is recognized by the community. Our team-oriented approach to primary care aligns with Bow Valley College’s ideals and teaching model for their health students. This alignment of ideals and our ability to put theory into real life applications has created opportunities for the college to place health care professional practicum students (e.g. nursing & medical office assistants, etc.) within our clinics.

It’s exactly what you’d want from a health centre. It’s fantastic. I switched here from Dominion because my doctor there didn’t even take the time to listen to me. I don’t know if you’ll believe me but I had an appointment time of 10:30 am. And guess what? I was admitted at 10:30. No long gross wait. When I came in here, they gave me a tour of facilities which includes a massage therapist, pharmacy, physio rehab area and a cosmetic area (not open yet). Then a nurse explained how the PCN network tie in worked. And then my doctor came in. I wasn’t stuck in a disgusting germ filled waiting room for an hour after my appointment time (like I frequently was with Dominion). If you’re looking for a new doctor or not quite happy with yours. Check this place out.

I was quite worried when my family doctor switched locations – but after my first visit to see her at Imagine Health, I couldn’t have been happier.This is a gorgeous facility – complete with an onsite pharmacy and a beautiful waiting room. I wasn’t waiting for long though – As soon as I sat down, my name was called! In addition to the prompt service, the staff was friendly, helpful, and willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. I was also impressed by the short wait time when phoning in. I was seen on time, and as always, Dr. Shibata spent adequate time ensuring that both of my concerns were fully addressed. She’s WONDERFUL! I was impressed by the large size of the exam room, and everything felt very clean and fresh. It is a welcome change from so many other offices. Imagine Health has everything I could want from a Health Clinic.
