No, there is no membership fee charged and the majority of the health services provided are covered by Alberta Health and Wellness. There are some private pay services, such as physiotherapy and massage therapy, which your private insurance or Blue Cross may cover (similar to your typical physiotherapy clinic or massage therapist). We also offer additional health services such as medical aesthetics and cosmetic medicine where there will be associated fees charged for services rendered. We also offer free consults for certain services as needed.

Yes, we are more than happy to take walk-ins and we also offer patients the ability to book same day appointments. Wait times are dependent on the physicians on duty that day and available time slots.

Yes, our health centres have family physicians who are accepting new patients and you will have the opportunity to book a “meet and greet” with your new family physician.

Imagine Health strives to be your all in one health centre and make your visit as convenient and helpful as possible. If you are not able to see your physician, you may speak to the onsite pharmacist, who may be able to help you refill your prescription. Our expert team of clinical pharmacists also offers a full range of services, including free medication reviews, personal health planning, compliance packaging, custom compounding and much more.

In order to properly comply with the Health Information Act, Imagine Health will not disclose test results over the phone. We suggest that all patients return to the clinic seven days after any tests to obtain test results. In rare cases or for urgent tests, we may ask that you return to the clinic at an earlier date.

When visiting the clinic it is important that you remember to bring your government issued photo identification and Alberta Healthcare card.

Valid card holders will be provided with health coverage at no cost. In order to receive publicly funded healthcare coverage, you must be registered with the Alberta Healthcare Insurance Plan.

Please remember to bring any medications that you are currently taking. If you do not have your Alberta Healthcare card, but can obtain the number, our staff will ask for photo identification and validate the information with Alberta health. This process helps to prevent identity theft and fraud, and also ensures that we have the correct person. You will be required to pay for your visit if you are unable to provide an Alberta Healthcare Number and photo identification, or if the number cannot be validated.

Please take note that Alberta Health will not pay for services that it deems non-essential. Some services are not covered and patients must pay for these services at the time of registration. This includes:

  •    Sick notes, maternity leave forms, etc
  •    Third party request forms
  •    Motor vehicle accident reports
  •    Chart transfers or chart copies
  •    Travel medicine advice and immunizations
  •    Cosmetic procedures
  •    Immigration medicals
  •    Pre-employment medicals
  •    Drivers medicals
  •    Medical certificates

In the case of a medical emergency please call 911 or visit your nearest Emergency Department. Imagine Health Centres does not provide emergency care. If you feel that your health concern is urgent or if you have concerns regarding your health, please contact the Health Link line: 8-1-1 from anywhere in Alberta.
